Jenn is our wonderful goldsmith who joined the team almost five years ago after university. She's quickly learned all things jewellery, from setting diamonds to becoming a pro on the laser welder.
Tell us about your role at Wild Fawn
I am full time bench jeweller at Wild Fawn, which encompasses a lot of individual, intricate tasks. I'm in charge of making sure our bestsellers are ready to ship as soon as possible, making orders that come through and ensuring the production line runs smoothly. You might be lucky enough to receive an order picked, made and packed by me!
What do you love about making jewellery?
Have you ever gone down a YouTube 'How It's Made' rabbit hole? That's the same satisfaction and fascination I get with making jewellery. I love watching the whole process from material to finished product and knowing that my hands made that happen. Then for that piece to hold so much meaning for another person is a great honour.
What is your favourite piece of jewellery to make?
I love making the Gaze Ring because not only is it quite satisfying to wear but it challenges my stone-setting skills. Also the stunning blue topaz is just gorgeous to look at.
Do you have any creative hobbies outside of the workshop?
I've been dabbling in film and digital photography for a while now and it's been a great creative activity, particularly when I'm on holiday.
Where are your favourite places in London? Do you have any hidden gems you'd recommend seeing or doing?
I recommend the nice walk along the Thames from Greenwich to Woolwich. It's mostly alongside old factory grounds but there are hidden pockets of nice greenery or interesting architecture. Best part, it's much quieter and totally free.
