Behind the Scenes

How your jewellery is made.

From the very beginning, Wild Fawn jewellery has been made by hand here in the UK with ethically sourced materials and using traditional, sustainable techniques, and that will never change. Our jewellery has always been for those who truly care about how their jewellery is made.

Take a look behind the scenes in our London workshop to learn how we make your jewellery.

WILD FAWN HQ

Our Workshop

Based in South East London, our workshop is where your jewellery is made by our small team of three talented female goldsmiths. A relaxing, welcoming, creative space where our team collaborate, design, capture, make and pack your orders.

Our workshop is also where we hold our consultation appointments and ring making workshops; we love welcoming our customers into our studio for a behind-the-scenes glimpse of how their dream jewellery is brought to life.

Minimal Waste

Your jewellery is handmade to order to minimise waste. Any scrap metal is melted down and used again.

Sustainable Materials

We only ever use recycled metals, lab-grown diamonds and sustainably-sourced stones. Our packaging is also plastic-free.

Traditional & Ethical Techniques

We love using traditional techniques and getting our hands dirty, paying homage to jewellers who paved the way.

Made in England

Every part of our making process happens right here in the UK, led by our talented all-female team of makers

How your jewellery is made

Design & material sourcing

Each piece is designed by our founder, Emma, and our team of talented goldsmiths. If it's a bespoke piece, you're also involved at this stage.

We then source recycled metals, stones and lab-grown diamonds as required.

Making

The making process depends on the design of the jewellery. Some items are created by our team using wax, and others are created with the help of metal casts, which we source from our trusted partners based in Birmingham, UK.

Finishing & personalisation

Your jewellery is filed, cleaned, polished and finished by our team. If you have chosen a personalised piece, the engraving takes place in our London workshop, too.

Your order is packed in our plastic-free packaging, and sent to you. If you're local, you can also book an appointment to pick up your order in person.

Technique spotlight

Sandcasting

Sandcasting is an ancient jewellery-making technique which we love to use for certain pieces at Wild Fawn. Take a look at how it works below.

The making of

Ethical Engagement Rings

Our engagement rings are made with care to ensure they're perfect for your special proposal. Whether from our main collection or a bespoke design, we only ever use recycled metals, lab-grown diamonds, and gemstones that are ethically mined and conflict-free.

The making of

Sustainable Wedding Rings

Like all of our jewellery, we make your wedding rings in our workshop using solid recycled yellow gold, white gold, rose gold or platinum. Made to celebrate your love for a lifetime.
