We’re excited to introduce you to a new piece of jewellery, the Oyster Necklace. Created in collaboration with slow linen and homeware brand Arkitaip, this limited-edition necklace draws inspiration from long summer days of exploration, relaxation, and reflection. Read on to uncover the story of the Oyster Necklace…
About Arkitaip and our collaboration
Lea from Arkitaip is, first and foremost, a friend of ours here at Wild Fawn. We knew we wanted to come together to create something timeless and beautiful that encompasses both of our brands.
Specialising in sustainable linen clothing and homeware, Arkitaip is rooted in family, sustainability, and laissez-faire elegance. They share our mindful, slow approach to design, craftsmanship, and consumption. With values and a brand ethos so aligned with ours, a collaboration felt organic and exciting.
The shell
Earlier this year, I went on a day trip to Whitstable to get some fresh sea air and to give our dog a good run around on the beach. When there, it's hard not to notice the oyster shells on the beach and after a bit more research about them, I began to love the beauty and symbolism of an oyster shell, I knew I needed to incorporate this into a design and after chatting to Lea about it, the shell became the centerpiece of our collaboration. An oyster shell is said to symbolise protection, renewal and transformation, and their filtering properties can be a reminder to appreciate the calm, peace and positivity even in turbulent waters.
The cord
For our first non-metal necklace chain, the Oyster Necklace holds the pendant on a red waxed cotton thread. We called on Lea’s contemporary vision to bring a modern touch of colour to the piece, and this rich red adjustable cord finished with silver detailing was the perfect choice. I love the contrast in textures between the cotton thread and polished, recycled sterling silver shell pendant.
The making process
Back in the workshop, with the oyster shell in hand, I scanned it using our 3D printer. After digitally shrinking the scan to the perfect size, I then printed a resin cast of what would eventually become the pendant. After a few different size iterations, Lea and I landed on the perfect dimensions, added a bail, and cast it in solid recycled sterling silver.
The pendant is threaded on the red cord by hand, completing this summer staple. Each Oyster Necklace is handmade in our London workshop, being homegrown from start to finish.

The Oyster Necklace is the ultimate piece to wear with your conscious linen pieces from arkitaip this summer. Think breathable, soft styles in neutral, earthy tones as you bask in the joy of summertime. Wear it long or short, and accompany it with your everyday ring and ear stacks, day and night.
