What you'll make
Each guest will create:
- A solid silver stacking ring, designed and carved by hand in wax, then we will cast this into solid sterling silver
- The rings can be kept simple or personalised with texture, shape or engraving, making every piece completely unique.
This includes:
- All silver materials
- Use of professional tools and equipment
- Step-by-step guidance from a Wild Fawn goldsmith
- Gift box for each finished ring
What happens at a jewellery-making workshop?
On the day, you’ll begin by settling into the studio with an introduction to the process. Your goldsmith will talk you through design ideas and demonstrate how to carve your ring from specialist jewellery wax.
Each guest will then design and carve their own ring, with plenty of time to experiment, ask questions and help each other along. The atmosphere at Wild Fawn is calm and sociable.
Once the wax rings are finished, you’ll leave them with us. We then use the lost wax casting process, a traditional jewellery-making technique, to cast each ring into solid silver. This creates an exact replica of the wax ring you made on the day.
After casting, every ring is:
- Cleaned and finished by hand
- Carefully checked for quality
- Gift boxed and posted
This process usually takes around 4 weeks.
When the rings are ready, we will post each finished ring directly to you. Or if you're local, you can book a slot to collect.
Can I get my ring made in gold?
The price includes your ring cast into solid sterling silver following the workshop.
If you prefer gold, you can get your design gold-plated or made in solid gold for an additional cost.
Where are the workshops held?
Our group workshops are held in our South-East London workshop (the same place where we make all of your orders!).
You can find us a 7-minute walk away from Bermondsey station. You will be provided with detailed instructions on how to find us when you book.
Can I book a workshop for my hen-do?
Yes! Our jewellery-making workshops make a wonderful hen party activity.
Booking your hen party is a chance for the bride and her closest people to slow down, get creative, and make something meaningful together before the wedding.
Each guest will create a handmade ring, a lasting keepsake of the day and a beautiful reminder of the celebration.
Helpful to know: This is a creative, relaxed experience rather than a party-style hen do.
