If you have purchased within the last 2 years and think your jewellery needs repairing, email us with some information and photographs: customercare@wildfawnjewellery.com
If you purchased your piece of jewellery over 2 years ago, we can still repair it - contact us for a quote.
I've had a reaction to my jewellery, what should I do?
Our jewellery is made from solid sterling silver, 9ct gold or 18ct gold and complies with the EU Nickel Directive. We are unfortunately unable to provide refunds if you experience a reaction to our jewellery. However, please see read our guidance below:
- If your earring post (the part of the earring that goes through the piercing hole) turns black over time, please be assured this is not harmful and is just aesthetic. If you would like us to buff away the discolouration of any discoloured Wild Fawn Jewellery, we can do this for a small fee, however due to the individual nature of skin, we cannot guarantee this discolouring will not return.
Please note, this reaction is different to normal tarnishing, which is where the surface of the metal discolours as it oxidises. This discolouration can be prevented and removed when cared for and cleaned as recommended. Read our Jewellery Care Guide here for more help on tarnishing.
- If you have sensitive skin and experience reactions to solid gold regularly, you might like to increase the carat of it; the higher the carat, the lower the percentage of other alloys (which are usually the cause of the reaction vs the gold itself).
- If you experience pain or discomfort, please seek medical advice, as this may be due to a poorly executed piercing, poorly healed piercing or other reason unrelated to the type or quality of metal.
