Wild Fawn Philosophy

Emma Barnes created Wild Fawn in January 2015 when her love for making and drawing transformed into the love of working with silver and gold to make timeless jewellery that can be enjoyed every day.

With a background in Anthropology, Emma knows that it's incredibly important to learn about where and how her materials are sourced and how people and cultures can be negatively affected by mining silver and gold.

Emma is a registered Fairtrade gold user which means that the gold she uses to make each piece of jewellery is either recycled or produced fairly and transparently. Buying Fairtrade gold helps to build miners futures by investing in social projects such as new schools and healthcare, and most importantly, to make their own way to prosperity.

Wild Fawn is committed to creating timeless jewellery that is perfect for everyday to be worn forever, not just one season.

Made to order in our South East London studio and never overproduced – we believe in quality over quantity with our enduring minimal designs which are wearable from one season to the next.

You inspire us and we design for you; real and mindful women. We always listen and react to your feedback and requests which makes Wild Fawn Jewellery as wearable and practical as possible.

Unlike plated jewellery, we make Wild Fawn jewellery with solid silver and gold so it retains it’s colour over time so you can cherish your pieces for longer. Even better, silver and gold can be melted down and made into new jewellery so nothing ever goes to waste.

Our silver and gold comply with the EU nickel directive and is hypoallergenic so it’s easier for those with sensitive skin to find their forever pieces. (If you do have particularly sensitive ears please get in touch so we can work together to find the right metal for you.)

Each piece of jewellery is made by hand in our London studio. This is so important to our founder Emma because it means that there’s been no worker exploitation or unnecessary C02 emissions from transport to bring you Wild Fawn Jewellery.

As we make each piece of jewellery ourselves, it means we can sell ethical jewellery with accessible pricing so shopping sustainably is for everyone, not just the few.

Not only is all of our packaging recycled or recyclable, it arrives ready for gift giving – just let us know if you want us to pop a message into the parcel for you if it’s heading straight to the recipient.
