Pride Month 2022

Happy Pride!

Today marks the first day in the month-long celebration of Pride and the LGBTQI+ community (we have a very big month planned!), an opportunity to also peacefully raise awareness to the many issues the community face. A major problem that is sadly very common for young LGBTQI+ people, is experiencing homelessness or a hostile living situation after coming out or being outed as LGBTQI+. 

So, this month in the lead up to the 50th anniversary of London Pride, our sole aim is to raise as much money as possible for the charity akt, who support young LGBTQI+ people aged 16-25 in the UK, who are facing homelessness or a hostile living environment. The money raised will go towards emergency accommodation & access to specialist support to help these young people develop skills, identify and achieve their life goals.

We’ve teamed up with some inspiring role models in the LGBTQI+ community, and each week of June, we will be releasing a piece of jewellery that has been designed by one of them, with 15% of each sale going directly to akt. Each piece is exclusive to this campaign and will be available to buy for 1 week only!

To kick things off, I’ve designed the first piece to launch. My ‘we are one’ pendant will be on sale from now until this Monday 6th June to raise money for akt. I’ve always loved this phrase and it’s been so lovely to finally use it in a design for a campaign that means so much to me and the team.
