As Wild Fawn grows we will be welcoming new talented people to the team. We are so excited to introduce our newest team member, Sofia, our first Operations Manager. Baking and make up enthusiast, Sofia, has taken on the task of organising and improving how Wild Fawn operates behind the scenes as we grow to make sure everything runs smoothly and it is as easy as possible to shop with us.

Why did you want to work for a small ethical business?
I don’t believe being an ethical business should be a niche, every single company and brand should be ethical and sustainable, this is the direction the world is slowly taking and Wild Fawn are trailblazing. Working for Wild Fawn further encourages me to be considerate with my buying habits and the impact of our decisions on the planet. There’s so much to learn and working for a small ethical business really puts you at the forefront.

What is your favourite part about joining the Wild Fawn team?
So many things! It all comes down to the team. How you perform in your role depends on the team you’re working with, it’s so inspiring to be surrounded by talented, driven and successful women.

What are your current Wild Fawn favourites and how would you style them?
I love styling some of the more statement pieces, like the 9ct Gold Large Organic Medallion Necklace with some of the more delicate pieces, like the 9ct Gold Quintet Necklace. A new favourite is the Wave Stacking Ring, I love mixing the 9ct Gold and Sterling Silver for a two tone look!

If you could pick up a new skill in an instant what would it be?
Amongst a hundred other skills, I would love to learn calligraphy just for the sake of writing prettier greeting cards (I have the worst handwriting and blame technology)

This or that – handmade or 2nd hand?
Handmade using 2nd hand! Am I allowed to say that? The possibilities of using existing items to create something new are endless, I strongly believe that anything can be given a new life with a little TLC. Whether that’s repurposing an old piece of jewellery by adding something new or buying a second hand piece of clothing, adding some embroidery (a skill I learnt in the first lockdown) and voila! One of kind piece and kind to our planet.

In what ways are you changing your lifestyle to live more consciously?
In my younger, less conscious decision making days, I would spend so much of my money buying all the latest clothes from high street giants to keep up with the trends but now I’m much more critical when shopping. I’ll add something to my basket and revisit it a handful of times over a couple of weeks to make sure it’s something I really need/want. Normally the magic will wear off and I’ll decide not to order, this has saved me so much money and allows me to shop consciously. I also go through my wardrobe every couple of months and sell things I don’t wear on Vinted and Depop to give them a new home.

What’s your Zodiac symbol, do you think your personality is typical to this sign?
A Leo! I’m not big on star signs but people close to me have always described me with personality traits typical to a Leo.

We hope you enjoyed getting to know Sofia better. Our team is so important to to the work we do and we are so excited about what Sofia brings to the brand and the improvements that are to come!
