Wild Fawn x Mira Lou is Live!

We are so excited that our collaboration collection with Mira Lou is finally live! To complement the launch we wanted to hear from Mira, in her own words, about the collection and the importance of the motifs in it.

All pieces are created in a version of my one-line style. All lines are connected and it looks like one single, continuous line. This connects all pieces and brings a fluidity and dynamic feel to the collection.

While creating the designs I had some personal thoughts about their meaning. As these are only my private thoughts, I love how art allows everyone to see their one story in it and therefore every piece can have countless varying interpretations. I always love to know what other people see in my art, so feel free to share your personal meaning behind a piece with me!

EYES

The open eye symbolises a state of mindfulness. Being able to see clearly and also focusing on the important things around you. For me it is a small reminder to stay conscious and aware of yourself and your environment, as we often get lost in the struggles of daily life.

HANDS

image_blog

Two hands touching or a single hand reaching out. Both tell a story of connecting or wanting to connect. The hands stand for longing, seeking, caring for something or someone. Where the single hands are open for something new, creating a new link or relation, the touching hands are a memory of an already existing bond. A feeling of support and understanding, closeness and intimacy.

FACE

The open, straight on face visualises an attentiveness to and willingness to face what lies in front. Being open-minded and without judgement, looking forward to new experiences.

SPLIT FACE

image_blog

A whole face separated into two halves. This design can be worn together or in single pieces. It could be split between two persons and thereby creating a connection. Always carrying a piece of the other one, being whole when together.

When worn alone or together by one person the half faces also represents different sides of oneself. Different moods, different personalities or characteristics that my vary or change according to a situation. Each person is diverse and multifaceted on the in and outside.

LIPS

The intertwining lips forming a kiss and connecting, almost merging into each other speaks for an intimate, physical relationship of any kind. The shapes of the lips also resemble two horizontal shifted hearts melting together.

It was an absolute joy to work with Mira to create something beautiful, with so much feeling and substance but with such a minimal feel. You can see and shop the full collection here! We hope you all love it as much as we do!
